Burnt smell of ember
At the end of December
A new year not happy
Roos are not sappy
Koalas do scream
Red painted dream
Ending the bliss

Marching on with the second part of the Sky Series. As I mentioned yesterday, this is a change of gears from my usual posts.

Touchdown to Australia in 2020, was a dark and smoke filled afternoon. The morning after, all we saw was a red sky. Seeing the US images of bushfire reminded me of the devastation down under, which inspired this small poem. This is accompanied by a print created by Shally at the start of 2020. All parts of the Sky Series are also available for prints at the store
