Finally, I’m back online after a small break. A break is necessary at times: to reflect back and make a new path forward. In this reading, I cover the last two poems of my book: Underwaterfall. I end the video with an original song I wrote, some 15 or so years ago. Hope you enjoy the poems and songs. I’m also dropping the lyrics for the song “Take me home” at the end of this post.
A quick update on where things are on my next publication to come out in 2022. Watch this space or follow any of my social handles on Facebook, Insta, Twitter, Youtube and Goodreads. Till next time everyone. Wishing all an amazing year ahead, stay safe and keep rockin!
In the midst of nowhere
Strolling all alone
Screaming for the hopeless
To come and take me home
To the place that I belong
‘Cuz the place I’m at is wrong
To the place that I belong
‘Cuz the place I’m at is wrongWon’t you come down and take me
Please come down and take me
Take me home
Had enough of darkness
(I’ll) get a rendezvous with light
The pain inside the sadness
Is eating me out aliveSo I’m screaming for the hopeless
To come and take me home
To the place that I belong‘Cuz the place I’m at is wrong
To the place that I belong
‘Cuz the place I’m at is wrong
Won’t you come down and take me
Please come down and take meTake me home…
Home…
No, I don’t belong here
‘Cuz everything is so fuckin’ wrong here
I’m isolated
I’m frustrated
In the midst of nowhere
Strolling all alone
Screaming for the hopeless
To come and take me home
Take me home
