Grasshopper Dream

The scent of fresh water falling off the edge of the cliff
Like the violet dream of a haunted forgotten church
Carefully missing four pieces of the stained glass
Melting with the background tree
Sound of birds fading away
Crickets murmur

Broken organ sighs behind the rubble around the corner
Sulking in the faint memory of a G minor scream
Animals take shelter at night to cosy up
Exhausted of running for their lives
Tranquil silence of carcasses
Real head turner

Sun shines through the placid creaks smiling in green moss
Like a grasshopper dream, unsure of its own intensity
Nothing as refreshing as the calm beauty of dawn
Elevating the deathly silence surrounding
The abandoned church in a forest
A stubborn learner
